The results were announced and celebrated on 7 November 2017 at a prestigious gala held at Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre.

Alexandra Lochmatter, Thanyapura’s Director of Business Development, commented; “We are truly honored to receive the awards that SPIA Asia has given. We are committed not only to developing the Thanyapura Health and Sports Resort, but also helping to highlight the beautiful country of Thailand as a top sports destination in Asia – and beyond.”

The SPIA Asia awards are held annually over a 2-day period to celebrate the organisations that positively influence Asia’s sporting landscape. It is committed to raising funds for local development initiatives, along with bringing together leaders within the industry to discuss the ways in which the face of sport is changing in the region. This year’s conference explored topics like ‘Thailand’s Sporting Boom’, ‘Tennis in Asia’ and ‘Why Sports Wins in a Fragmented Media Age’. More than 300 delegates and 20 international speakers attended the 2017 conference, which culminated with the black-tie Awards Gala Dinner.

Thanyapura was shortlisted alongside leading programs like the FC Bayern Munich Youth Cup Thailand and the Bangkok Airways Boutique Series.
