Samui Open Beach Volleyball Tournament 2023
The 5th annual Samui Open Beach Volleyball Tournament will be held on Koh Samui, Thailand on 10-11-12 March 2023 at the Royal Muang Samui Villas on Choeng Mon Beach and promises to be a thrilling sporting event.
The tournament was originated by organizer Biggs Island Productions (BIP) in 2016 in recognizing the growing global interest in Beach Volleyball. The now 2023 fully registered tournament will see 120 athletes, 80 teams and 28 countries represented, with 80% of athletes from overseas and 20% Thai and Foreign National.
This year the event is partnering with HUB Beach Volleyball Camp from Australia, with a 3-day training camp offered prior to the event.
The international event will be the biggest event of its type to date; organized by BIP, hosted by Royal Muang Samui Villas and supported by Tourism Association of Koh Samui (TAKS) and Koh Samui Municipality (Tessaban). The 2023 beach volleyball tournament will have thrilling play covering 3 days with 80 teams competing in four divisions (Men’s 2X2, Women’s 2X2, Mix 2X2 and Quads 4X4).
80,000THB in prize money will be awarded to tournament winners along with trophies, medals, sponsor vouchers, volleyball gear and apparel. The players, comprised of over 120 athletes represent 28 countries from Europe, North America, South America, Australia and Asia.
Spectators can enjoy Free Entry for all three days and be entertained by professional and amazing beach volleyball play, concession stands, volleyball merchandise and DJ. The tournament dates & times are 10th, 11th & 12th March from 09:00-18:00 daily with the semi-finals and finals starting Sunday, 12 March from 13:00. Tournament will finish on 12 March at 18:00, followed an ‘Appreciation’ party at Pure Beach Club, featuring a live band, fireworks & food & drink specials.
