Beyond Resort Kata fields beach cleaning team to mark World Cleanup Day 2018
Beyond Resort Kata is organising a team of management and staff to help clean up Kata Beach on 15 September, in recognition of World Cleanup Day 2018.
The resort, which is located directly on Kata Beach in Phuket, is also inviting its guests and friends from the neighbourhood to join in, starting from 9.00 am.
World Cleanup Day, 15 September, will see volunteers worldwide come together to rid the planet of garbage, cleaning up litter and mismanaged waste from the beaches, rivers, forests and streets.
The “green wave” of clean-ups will begin in New Zealand and end 36 hours later in Hawaii.
Kata Group Resorts, to which the Beyond brand is hotel affiliated, is a proud sponsor of scholarships to children studying at local community schools.
Beyond Resort Kata is owned and operated by Kata Group Resorts, based in Phuket and one of Thailand’s longest established hotel companies. Other Beyond branded hotels are located at Karon Beach, Patong, Krabi, and Khaolak.
