Annual Fire Drill 2019 at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort

On 18 November 2019, the management at Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra organised and participated in an annual fire drill to guarantee the safety of all guests and team members. The Department for Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (PWA) of Krabi were also present to ensure the proper installation and use of smoke detectors, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, and various other equipment.

The drill itself consisted of guidelines for prevention and walkthroughs of safety scenarios. Participants had the opportunity to learn basic first aid, followed by evacuation drills and demonstrations of how to extinguish different types of fire. As safety is a priority at Sofitel, annual drills like this one are imperative in making sure team members can act in the event of an emergency, as well as able to aid the resort’s valued guests.
