Bespoke holiday activities encourage guests to learn, play and explore more during their stay at Koh Samui’s independent luxury resort
KOH SAMUI, THAILAND – Santiburi Beach Resort & Spa, the luxury resort catering to couples and families on Samui’s stunning north shore has unveiled a curated collection of family-friendly leisure activities that offer engaging holiday experiences suited to all ages, collectively known as the Santiburi Beach Campus.
The new concept encompasses five themed campuses: Marine, Wellness, Culinary, Culture and Sport, and includes a total of eleven attractive programmes designed to help guests fully interact with one of Thailand’s most appealing resorts in one of the country’s top island destinations – making the most of the tropical environment and rich local culture while learning something new and having plenty of fun in the process.
From learning the secrets of traditional Thai massage and Muay Thai boxing from expert trainers, to cooking up a flavour storm or hitting a bucket of balls on the golf course, the carefully crafted activities, lessons, workshops and excursions can be enjoyed by families, couples or individuals.
“Holidays should be fun and relaxing, but they also provide an excellent opportunity to explore one’s interests, dive deeper into a hobby, or even learn something new,” says Cedric Bonvin, General Manager, Santiburi Beach Resort and Spa. “We’ve worked with a number of trusted guides, instructors and partners to create programmes both at the resort and in nearby locations to form the Santiburi Beach Campus. The aim is to allow guests to broaden their horizons while sharing memorable experiences with their families, friends and loved ones.”
Guests of the resort can select which programmes they’re most interested in on an a la carte basis, or participate in a complete Campus as part of a special 3- to 5-night stay packages. Santiburi Beach Campus activities include:
MARINE CAMPUS, which makes the most the most of the sun, sea and surf including a choice of activities and learning experiences powered by the wind. Guests can enjoy guided or solo sailing, windsurfing and SUP excursions in the waters off of Mae Nam Beach. Lessons are also available with a qualified instructor. Meanwhile, a choice of underwater wonders can be experienced by taking lessons before heading out on a snorkelling or diving excursion to explore the stunning coral reefs around Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.

Those looking to rebalance their energy while also revitalizing body and mind can also experience the ancient art of Reiki Healing with treatments administered by a trained Reiki Master who also offers individuals Reiki Level 1, 2 and 3 training.
CULINARY CAMPUS, which allows food lovers to explore the delicious world of Thai cuisine, learning about essential Thai ingredients, visiting the resort’s onsite herb garden and preparing popular dishes themselves under the guidance of one of the resort’s chefs before enjoying a tasting menu featuring a range of regional tastes. Young chefs are welcome too and can treat their family to a meal of simple yet flavourful Thai and international dishes they’ve prepared with the help of a professional chef.
CULTURE CAMPUS, which introduces guests to Thailand’s traditional customs with guided temple tours around the island, special monk blessings and the opportunity to participate in the age-old practice of giving alms to local Buddhist monks. While experiencing these rich traditions first-hand, guests also learn more about the country’s most important festivals and ceremonies, such as birthday blessings, entering the monkhood, Songkran, Loy Kratong and more.
