A choice of rich flavours and outstanding cake designs adds a sweet treat for couples
and guests celebrating their big day on Phuket .
PHUKET, THAILAND – Building on its reputation for world-class cuisine, Phuket’s leading luxury hotel, The Nai Harn, is creating exquisite house-made wedding cakes for couples as a stunning centrepiece on their special day. The 2-3 tier personalised cakes offer sweet tidings for a successful marriage while also adding a sense of tradition to the wedding feast, as well as providing some wonderful photo opportunities.
The Nai Harn Phuket’s talented pastry chefs design every last detail of a delectable butter cake, chocolate cake or fruit cake, following traditional recipes but also adding their own unique flare. Each of the tiers is smothered in a sweet fondant icing with a creamy layer in between, before being beautifully decorated to match the theme of each wedding and the personal style and tastes of the happy couple and their guests.
“We take pride in making the most delicious, eye-catching wedding cakes, from wonderful white tiers of sugary simplicity with pretty floral decorations, to elaborately artistic cakes that are totally unique,” explains Daniel Back, Executive Pastry Chef at The Nai Harn. “Once the cake is baked, cooled and chilled to firm up, we cover each tier with a delicate vanilla buttercream to get an even surface for the sugar paste to stick to. We let this dry for a few hours before adding delicate handmade flowers and personalised decorations.”
To complement the sweet treats, The Nai Harn’s choice of breathtaking wedding venues ignites the imagination. A spectacular, picture-perfect natural backdrop guarantees a memorable occasion whether for an intimate gathering or extravagant celebration. Guests can either toast the newlyweds right by the ocean at the resort’s stand-alone Rock Salt beachside restaurant, overlooking the bay at the elevated Cosmo all-day dining venue, or gazing out across infinity-edged pools a Reflections rooftop lounge with sweeping views of the Andaman Sea.
Adding to the bespoke options, couples can choose from two specially curated Western wedding packages, or opt for an authentic Thai ceremony package, each one designed for up to 50 guests with delicate canapés followed either by an exquisite buffet, or gourmet dinner, made all the more enjoyable with a choice of open-bar options.
“Fine food and drinks are the foundations of an unforgettable wedding celebration, and our gourmet wedding cakes offer a perfect blend of the finest ingredients”, says Frank Grassmann, General Manager of The Nai Harn. “ Stunning surroundings, attentive service and exquisite tastes ensure everybody enjoys a their own slice of happiness.”
Wedding Packages at The Nai Harn also include floral decorations, welcome drinks, a wedding ceremony and sound system, as well as bridal make-up, a spa treatment and breakfast in bed the day after the ceremony. Depending on the package, couples can also include hair styling, traditional Thai rituals, a private candle-lit dinner, a professional photographer and, of course, the personalised wedding cake as a sweet signature to remember forever.

The hotel offers dress circle seats to the greatest shown on earth – the spectacle of an Andaman sunset set against the dramatic promontory of Cape Promthep, best viewed from the four-poster day bed on your private 40sq m terrace, or from the re-born Rooftop Deck at our bucket list-worthy daily Magic Hour and Sunset Salutation Ritual. Phuket’s only hotel with a real sense of history has hosted luminaries from royals to heads of state to stars of stage and screen – where else but at THE NAI HARN can you take a luxury speedboat island hopping to James Bond Island … while staying in the suite occupied by Roger Moore or Christopher Lee during filming of The Man with the Golden Gun? Offering guest rooms at least as capacious as the generous terraces and suites best described as sublime, THE NAI HARN has been completely redesigned to maximize its exceptional vistas. Minimally elegant with lavish touches and ‘ah’ moments, this comprehensive reimagining of Phuket’s first luxury resort infuses contemporary style with a Southern Thai aesthetic, setting the scene for destination experiences informed by authenticity and local knowledge, new adventures on roads less travelled, and culinary experiences that define excellence.www.thenaiharn.com
